Early this spring I was so fortunate to travel to New Zealand and Australia with friends.  It was a trip of a lifetime!  One of the lovely places we visited was Waiheke Island, New Zealand.  While there we had a lovely lunch at the Batch Winery restaurant.  It was a gorgeous panoramic setting with views of the vineyards and the water beyond in several directions.  This painting was based on a combination of two photos taken of adjacent views.  I loved the place and I love the painted memory of a wonderful day!
