At last year's Winterlights event at Newfields, I was able to capture quite a few photos of poinsettias within the beautifully decorated Lily House on the grounds.  I can't keep these beautiful flowers in my own home as my cats won't leave them alone and they're hazardous to the health of cats.  But I can try to capture their beauty in paint, and in a form that is safe for pets.  Here is my latest effort.

I was delighted to be informed that this painting was recognized as among the judges' favorite 15% of paintings submitted to the FASO BoldBrush online competition for December 2018.
